Dr. Verity Elston, Head of Careers Advice for Doctoral and Postdoctoral Researchers
This workshop will focus on the essentials for any application for employment in a non-academic context: putting together the practical tools of CV and cover letter.
In addition to addressing the different elements to include in application material, we will explore:
The job ad as problem statement: the analysis and deeper understanding of the opportunity in order to create an adapted, contextual application.
This 4-hour workshop will be highly intensive, and focused on practical exercises. You should be prepared to share and exchange with others on your professional experience.
For you to participate effectively in this workshop, you should already have attended the 'Career Café' event.
Participants will also be asked to complete a skills analysis prior to the workshop, using the online tool of their choice.
This workshop is intended primarily for UNIL/CHUV postdocs. Doctoral candidates will find a similar offer through the CUSO Transversal and doctoral programmes.
