Description | The aim of this workshop is to sensitize participants to the demands and expectations linked to pursuing an academic career. It presents the foundational elements of self-presentation that apply to hiring processes on the academic track, from applications to interview. Participants should note that the Teaching Philosophy Statement is covered in a separate workshop with the Graduate Campus. |

Information | Preparatory Work Participants will be required to read at least three preliminary articles on the academic recruiting process in advance of the workshop. Details will be provided prior to the date. Participants will also be asked to use this reading as a basis with which to prepare their academic CV and to bring copies to the workshop for review.
