  • How to better manage stress and emotions and develop self-protection techniques for PhD students and post-doctoral fellows
  • Introduction to Emotional 1st Aid : How to behave and cope in helping survivors of a critical incident

 Goals of the Workshop

  • Reinforce the competencies of the trainees to develop and use stress management tools, for themselves and their colleagues
  • Share the good practices already in use and train them
  • Know the basics of Emotional 1st Aid after a crisis
  • Train Emotional 1st Aid

  • A variety of exercises meant to develop best practices for stress management
  • What is Emotional 1st Aid, when and how to use it ?

Training Methods

  • Practical advice
  • Shared experiences and their outcome based on examples from the participants and from the trainer
  • Rooting of theoretical aspects through exercices and roleplay
  • Case study and different possible approaches
