Description

What is the minimum of anonymization needed for quantitative data files in order to adequately protect respondents and satisfy data protection requirements? How do other considerations come into play, like informed consent or data access restrictions? Once you have defined your anonymization strategy, how best to implement it?

This half-day workshop will give hands-on training in techniques for anonymising quantitative survey data, with attention to general principles and data protection issues. It will include a part on theory and data management, as well as an applied part with exercises, using personal computers and preferred statistical software (e.g., R, SPSS).
